Members can look forward to quality seminars and conferences of current trends, trendsetters, and eminent Business Executives from throughout India and a grand finale award to recognize top performers in the Industry. We also provide a wonderful opportunity for the members to zealously participate in various sports competitions like Cricket, Bowling, Badminton, Table Tennis and more.
The Advertising Club Madras is one of the oldest clubs in India with over 65 years of legacy. The club has been promoted by stalwarts of yesteryears, who were committed professionals and had the larger picture of providing a platform for practising advertising professionals to meet and exchange ideas for the betterment of the industry.
In keeping with the current trends of the economy, Advertising industry has also evolved to meet the current challenges. The club organises regular Gyan Series of speaker meets, where some of the top notch professionals from across the country share their experience and learnings for the benefit of our Club members.
Since 1977, Advertising Club Madras is recognising the industry work through its Maddys & Advertising Award. Any association is only as strong as its members. A Remarkable Journey
20 creative minds came together on 18th February,
1956 over cups of tea; and they brewed the Ad Club
Madras. The club has grown stronger over the
decades, enriched by the members who continue to
elevate excellence in advertising. Today, the club
enjoys recognition by notable individuals and
organizations across the country.
1956
The Ad Club of Madras is established.
1977
The Maddys become the first major advertising award show in South India and recognizes excellence in creative advertising across the region for all agencies, clients and brand custodians.
1986
The Ad Club adds yet another major annual event — a Panel Discussion on the current advertising topic. This has since evolved to include speaker meets and Gyan series.
1994
The Ad Club launches The Great Debate. The format is a Parliamentary-style live debate on advertising industry topics featuring national-level leaders in Marketing, Media and Creative.
1995
The Ad Club launches PGDAM — a premier advertising diploma program in collaboration with top ad professionals in Chennai. It’s now one of the most sought-after industry certification courses.
1998
Maddys introduces industry categories and digital advertising awards for the first time in South India, recognizing innovation in new and emerging media formats.
2006
PGDAM celebrates its 10th anniversary, producing over 1000 advertising professionals across 10 years. The curriculum is revamped and upgraded with latest industry modules.
